Gluten-Free Wednesdays 2-1-12
It’s hard to believe February is here, especially since we have had an unusually warm winter here in Maryland. Occasionally it gets cold enough for soup, which is our theme this month.
I’m looking forward to seeing all the great recipes, tips and ideas you all link up this week.
If you get this post by email, remember to click over to the site later in the day or sometime tomorrow to see what great ideas have been gathered here.
Giveaway: Don’t miss this week’s Saffron Road giveaway. Five winners will receive 5 free product coupons. There aren’t a lot of entries, so your chances of winning are good.
Monthly Theme: This month’s theme is soups and stews. I intended to share with you a potato soup recipe last month, but since I didn’t get to it, it fits with this month too.
Last Week’s Highlights:
Easy Potato Soup – Stealthy Mom
Sweet Potato Pancakes – Stuff I Feed Brian
Meatloafins – Sugar & Spice
Celery Root and Potato Au Gratin – Low Amine Recipes
Potato Cheddar Corn Chowder – Hugs & CookiesXOXO

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I sure did. We gathered with my extended family, and I was excited when I realized that the entire main meal (not dessert) was gluten free. It wasn’t all dairy free, but at least my son was able to eat anything he wanted and we didn’t have to worry about cross contamination.
I’m glad you have stopped by. I hope you will add a link and visit others. Remember to leave a comment and say hello. It helps to build community.
Giveaway: This week I am excited to have a href="http://glutenfreehomemaker.com/2011/11/swanson-health-products-review-giveway/">giveaway from Swanson Health Products. The winner receives a $25 coupon code good for anything on the site. They carry gluten-free vitamins, supplements, and food products!
Monthly Theme: November’s theme is stuffing. I told you I would be looking for stuffing recipes to highlight through this week, but now that Thanksgiving is over, I think we should move on to chocolate which is December’s theme. I’m particularly looking for chocolate desserts such as fudge, but wanted to leave the category open.
Last Week’s Highlights: You might want to bookmark some of these for next year.
